Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), are electronic systems that help the vehicle driver while driving or during parking. When designed with a safe human-machine interface, they are intended to increase car safety and more generally road safety.
ADAS uses camera-based sensors that allow the car to and helps the driver to be better aware of the driving environment. Cameras are installed outside the vehicle, mainly at the top, front, back, sides to capture the images of various objects and traffic sign-language like street, road signs, vehicles, pedestrians and other objects.
In the vehicle, images are captured by the cameras and analyzed by the specially designed software and the information then used to improve safe driving. And in case of any emergent action, it will initiate emergency braking, alerting the driver if they drift out of the lane and helping them to park the car accurately.
Essential safety-critical ADAS applications include:
Modern vehicles today have advanced driver-assistance systems integrated to their electronics and manufacturers refresh their car models to add more of these features into their cars. Early advanced driver-assistance systems include electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and traction control. These systems can be affected by mechanical alignment adjustments or damage from a collision. This has led many manufacturers to require electronic resets for these systems, after a mechanical alignment is performed.
At JKM we have invested in the latest ADAS alignment and calibration equipment to be able to aid with fault finding any issues with your Advanced driver-assistance systems on your VW, Audi, Seat or Skoda and carry out reset and calibration procedures. We can also offer body shops ADAS alignment with approved certificates for insurance. Contact us for more details.
These guys 100% know what they are doing. I usually come to these guys for the big bad problems that I can’t fix myself and they always come through for me. Looked after my Corrado G60 and now Audi S4 with care and attention. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the money.
